- What is the difference between Blu-Ray and DVD?
We highly recommend purchasing your chosen film on Blu-Ray as the image quality will be much greater. Blu-Ray displays a full HD image of 1920x1080 pixels, DVDs are Standard Definition 720x576 pixels. A DVD image will be upscaled to play on an HD projector and lose quality in the process. DVD quality also varies from disc to disc, some films will look better than others, whereas Blu-Ray will always give you a consistent razor sharp image and high quality sound.
